Hi,

I see that there are some projects that uses the arduino to connect the a 433mhz receiver and decode the oregon sensors, that uses a manchester encoding.

https://github.com/phardy/WeatherStation

http://jeelabs.net/projects/cafe/wiki/Decoding_the_Oregon_Scientific_V2_protocol

It something possible to connect a 433mhz receiver on the raspberri pi and get the code running on it that also is used on the arduino?

Try it and post the results. Will be interesting to see.

I would guess that it is lot of work to port this.

If you have plenty of time left you may look at another project with similar efforts for Raspberry Pi:

Maybe you can merge codes.

I would not put too much effort into this. My RFXCOM transceiver (RFXtrx433) works very well. It just works out of the box.

If you really want to do your own stuff, it will be more easy just to buy a Jeenode an try the code that you have posted already.
