Hi guys,

I've my whole house heated using FHT80 controlled by an FHZ1000 connected to my server. This whole setup is about 7 years old now but still working fine.

Now, I want want to add a wireless mains power switch, could be a power plug or wired inline, I don't mind. I want to control this from FHEM, but also have a separate wireless switch to manually switch the power when I need to.

Doesn't have to be heavy duty, I expect no more than 500 watts.

I would really appreciate some advice on which bits to get get. Is FS20 getting a bit long in the tooth these days? I don't mind going with another system even if that means adding new control unit to my server.

I've been browsing the Conrad site but can't really make heads or tails of it.

I would really appreciate some help with this.

Thanks,
Ingvar

FS20 is not an option for new installations. i'd vote for Homematic and - although I am a Conrad customer for 35 years - i'd buy these at ELV. They are closely connected to the manufacturer eQ-3

The actor can be switched by FHEM with a proper interface, see https://www.elv.de/homematic-funkmodul-fuer-raspberry-pi-bausatz.html

As an alternative you can also go with ZWave.

Hi Ingvar,

I started my way to home automation with a DECT power plug by AVM . So if you run a Fritzbox as DSL Modem, you could use the box as IO.
Later I found the nice integration with FHEM, and that's how I started with this so impressive application.

Kind regard,
Helmut

Oof I've been looking around but it doesn't help that my German is terrible.

Does there exist a power switch inline-wired (not a plug) that can be controlled from FHEM and my FHZ1000?

I get a bit lost looking around all these websites, be very grateful for a suggestion.

The FHZ1000 can control FS20 devices, FHT thermostats, and receive data from HMS and the KS300. Only the FS20 protocol supports power switches. If I understand "inline-wired" correctly, then FS20 SU-3 is the only one I found on the elv site. I was surprised that there is still quite a lot of FS20 stuff available.

Hm - "available" in the sense of existing installations, yes. But I don't know a source for new SU3 actors.

According to https://www.elv.de/elv-fs20-su-3-unterputz-funk-schalter-3680-va.html it is currently available.
It is remarkable that the link name differs from the content (3680va vs 1680 va).

No, I'm not. And I do not understand your  comment. It is not compliant to do advertising here.
I want to help. This is why I post comments in our forum.
Means, there are power switches available  and the link shows the product information for additional research.
May be, that kind of assets is only available  in the 2nd market. I did not want to support that analysis, Ingvar can do this on his own.
