Hi,

since several weeks I experience a strange behavior of my KS300. I get
repeated messages about negative rain. Since consecutive negative rain
messages make the module think that the KS300 was reset, the rain readings
are interdispersed with lower rain figures, e.g. zeros since yesterdazy's
battery change. The IR flag yields random values.

I do not know wether it is related to a defect of the device or to a change in
fhem. I use recents CVS versions of fhem. The behavior appeared first at the
beginning of March and might be probably related to a change in fhem.

Any ideas or anybody with the same problem?

Regards,
Boris

the KS300 device is known to send randomly wrong data. You can take a
look into some forums (ww.ipsymcon.de/forum->search for KS300 or
www.wetterfreaks.de). This also happens sometime for the S2000R-
raining sensor.
You need an software filter to figure out these situations, e.g.
compare with (more than the last) previous values.
