calculate time on?

Good afternoon all,

I would like to calculate the amount of time that a dummy variable has the value 'on'.

I suspect that using the user readings option, but I'm a bit stuck.  I've had a few attempts but nothing has worked too well.

any help appreciated.

I've been using them for a couple of years now, and spent a long time with it over that period, but so much has been added recently that i've missed a lot of the new features.
