Hi All,
I'm new here and I have problem with Deutch language. Please help me, is it possible to install fhem on ubuntu server in chroot mode?
It´s important for me, because I can use real production server with all aplications and chroot is important security reason...
Many Thanks,
Jan
Yes, it is possible, the AVM-version of FHEM does just this.
Please don't expect a step-for-step HOWTO here.
Thanks for your response. And is AVM version for ubuntu server and is it function with MAX! components?
The AVM FHEM distribution is for their FRITZ!Box brand routers (7390/7490, MIPSEL based, widely used in Germany), and is working with MAX.
And is possible AVM FHEM dist in English? Where can download it?
FHEM itself is always in english. Here is the link:

Many thanks,
but my question "Is possible and how install FHEM on Ubuntu server in chroot mode from package?"
I have ubuntu server and I need install on it in chroot mode.
Hey,
He write: It is possible, because other people do it
But: For the Ubuntu-Server you must Do it by yourself.
I think, it is not so easy, because you need: perl, HW access
Greeting,
Werner
Hi, just create a chroot jail with debootstrap and install the fhem deb package from fhem.de You gonna need the perl packages in your chroot environment. Another option would be a kvm virtual machine (or xen)
