I try to use andFHEM on my smartphone and FHEM on my Fritzbox 7390.
First of all, I can make a telnet connection but have to make telnet in
fhem settings global. Does this mean everybody knowing my IP address can
start it? The more as it seems I don't have to enter a password. It seems
I don't have to make telnet available on my Fritzbox for it!?
I was not able to use FHEMWEB on port 8083, 8084 or 8085 for the connection
between andFHEM and my Fritzbox. Is this normal or do I something wrong?
Thanks for your work and answers.

Fritzbox Telnet is not equal to FHEM's telnet. This port is not yet secured
by a password, Rudi is currently changing this. And yes, the port has to be
global.

This should work without a problem. Usually, use FHEMWEB on port 8083. You
have to give us some more information - there is no way telling you what
you are doing wrong currently.

I selected
Datasource: FHEMWEB
URL: 192.168.178.1:8083/fhem
Username:
Password:
Then I get "Cannot connect to host.¨ when I push refresh. Used from
my laptop that address works without a problem.
I suspect having this connection from my smartphone and my computer at
the same time is not the problem.
This helps?

Is the notebook connected via WLAN or via LAN Cable?
You have to allow WLAN device to communicate to each other.

Hi Sven
Via WLAN and I checked, the devices are allowed to communicate with
each other.
Thanx for any hint, but just for my understanding, I have FHEM on my
Fritzbox so I guess it is not necessary to allow devices to
communicate with each other?

OK just for the completeness - what is andFHEM actually telling you? Does
it tell 'cannot read xml list' or does it tell 'cannot connect to fhem' ?
What have you entered as connection parameters in andFHEM?

I just updated to 1.6.9
It tells me "Cannot connect to host" NOT fhem.
My parameters are:
Datasource: FHEMWEB
URL: 192.168.178.1:8083/fhem
Username:
Password:
When I select telnet it works.
When I use 192.168.178.1:8083/fhem from the browser on the same
smartphone it also works.

Hi,
I suppose you are missing an http:// in front of the FHEMWEB URL.

:-( I feel very stupide. But you are right. To much used to the fact
that you don't have to enter it in a browser.
Thanx

Hi
Maybe a check and a warning if neither https:// nor http:// is used
is possible. Seems not to difficult and could help people.
