I'm not sure the best place to report this. I recently upgraded FHEM to v5.8, previously 5.7 using the same config file. I found that all logging to mysql ceased. Log file reports logging to mysql configured and reports no errors. I've no idea what's wrong.

I hope you've also executed the FHEM update command after the upgrade, as there is a chance that your problem was fixed in the meantime. The package available on the webpage is only meant as a starting point, to shorten the list of files transferred by upload.
