There were changes between wheezy and jessie versions of owfs that caused problems with OWNet.pm See https://sourceforge.net/p/owfs/mailman/message/34936918/ for details

This has now been fixed but at present the new module (dated later than 18-03-2016) is probably only available from https://sourceforge.net/p/owfs/code/ci/master/tree/ or updated with a patch in the above mentioned thread

Replacing jessie OWNet.pm with the new fixes the text display issue, nb. OWNet.pm may be installed in more than one place!
