What is best browser to use for TabletUI on Android?

For a friend I have developed a TabletUI interface for his home.
It works perfect in Firefox but on Chrome it gets stuck after some time of not being used. The complete browser is frozen. This is on Android 6. (Archos 101b Oxygen tablet)

Longpoll is set to 1.

Also in Firefox the updates/events which fhem detects, like switching a KNX switch on or off outside of fhem or tabletui, are shown pretty fast but in Chrome most of the times I have to do a reload of the pages or even clear the caches.

On a linux computer, Ubuntu 16.04, I see the same. Firefox is ok but Chrome not.

As you can see I do not have a windows computer to try IE but my question is primarily about Android.

The tablets have a power supply connected all the time so they do not run off the battery. I have also set them to use daydream mode when not used. Simply touching the screen brings up the tabletui.

So my questions are:
- what is the best browser to use on Android?
- How to loose the address bar in firefox?
- Any other settings I should think of?
