FHT80 FT-2 with FHEM

I've currently started to use ELV FS20 products at my house after a
recommendation by a friend.
I started of with a couple of FS20-WS1, a TC6 and a FHZ1000pc to start
off. I'm currently using FHEM for the control of it, I haven't found
any other product capable of doing it (and preferably running under
linux). This little start ofcourse began to grow on me and I'm
currently logging to database so I can start publishing it on the web
(in a discrete way).

Now I want to get started on Heat control in my house.  I've gotten
some stuff translated from the ELV site to dutch so I could read that.
I'm wondering what exact items I would need and if my choices will run
into obstacles in controlling my house.

Question 1:
I'm planning on getting a FHT80b starterkit combined with some
additional radiator FHT8v units. I've read that the kit also comes
supplied with a FHT80FT-2. Am I able to hook this all up to the fhem
using the fhz1000pc or is there something I've overlooked?

Question 2:
And on a side note I've read on the ELV site that the fht80ft-2 isn't
compatible with the fhz1000. Can somebody help me with more
information on this? Is this the standalone house central fhz1000, or
the usb device on the pc?

Right. If you use FHEM with a CUL instead of a FHZxxxx Device, you can
however use the
FHT80TF directly, thus see in FEHM if the window is open or not. I use
a FHT80TF to check on the garage door as it is the cheapest and
smallest door/window contact in the FS20 range.

The original purpuse was to close the FHT8v in a room, if a window is
opened. Therefore it is normaly paired with the FHT80b in that room,
so that the 80b closes the FHT8v without involving any FHZ (or even
FHEM with some other interface) at all.

Should work. One Limit however is that you may not use more then some
10-12 FHT80b in a given installation. Thus you do have a problem if
you want to controlle more then about 12 rooms. Not anybodys
problem

I guess you mean FHT80TF-2 (TF stands for Tür-Fenster-Kontakt). This
should work.

The remark is indeed on the webpage and I am not certain about what it
means. The FHT80TF and its successor are not supposed to work with a FHZ
