Is there any development of a Matter Server to connect the Matter network to FHEM? This would provide access to hundreds of devices with the local control philosophy of FHEM.

MQTT is one approach but it puts another layer in the solution. This one is written in Go. A more direct approach would be to write a Matter Controller in Perl.
