Jumper sind auf J1 und J4 gesetzt, sowie Enhanced (J12) - Ebenso auf Standard zu setzen brachte keinen Erfolg.
Leider erkennt mein RPI 4 anscheinend den via USB angeschlossenen Adapter nicht. (siehe Bild)

Ah, okay. Ich habs aus den Sourcen gemäß Deiner Anleitung kompiliert und installiert, auf einem Ubuntu 20.04.2 Server (welches in einer VM läuft). Auf dem Ubuntu scheint auch logrotate zum Einsatz zu kommen, aber "make install" hat die config nicht kopiert. Vielleicht wäre noch ein kleiner Hinweis (wie der mit dem systemctl) am Ende des Wiki-Kapitels sinnvoll?

ja gut, mit nem Ladekabel kanns schlecht gehen, weil dann ja keine Daten durchkommen. Ganz normales USB Kabel halt

Auf https://adapter.ebusd.eu/ sowie auch hier im Thread wird ja explizit darauf hingewiesen, dass bei der Wemos Variante die Stromversorgung "kritisch" ist.
Gibt es da Empfehlungen? Was nutzt ihr dafür?

Mein eBus Adapter wird im Heizungsraum montiert. Ich würde ihn am liebsten zusammen mit dem Netzteil in einer Feuchtraumdose verschwinden lassen. Jetzt habe ich mal nach für USB geeigneten Netzteilen mit Schraubklemmen gesucht (präferiert Schaltnetzteile). Das Angebot ist aber nicht so überzeugend, da kommt auch wieder viel von dem üblichen AliExpress Zeug.
Reichelt bietet so etwas https://www.reichelt.de/schaltnetzteil-geschlossen-15-w-5-v-3-a-snt-rs-15-5-p137080.html?PROVID=2788 an, da habe ich aber Bedenken wg. der Abwärme wenn ich das in eine Dose verpacke.

ich nutze fast nur alte Handyladegeräte. Die haben genug Saft (meist über 1A) und liegen eh nur rum

Das mache ich für meine "normalen" ESP Basteleien genauso. Aber da hatte ich auch schon mal einen Ausfall, weil das alte Handynetzteil nicht mehr sauber gearbeitet hat. Deshalb wollte ich dem eBus Adapter etwas besseres gönnen.

Zum Thema langlebige Stromversorgung für den Heizungskeller hatte ich mir auch schon mal Gedanken gemacht. Ich habe mich dann zwar umentschieden und keinen Kleinrechner mehr benutzt, aber wenn ich das heute nochmal so machen wollen würde, würde ich wohl das bewährte Konzept mit Netztrafo, Brückengleichrichter und Glättungselko nehmen, und dann einen sehr großzügig ausgelegten "Simple Switcher" von National Semiconductor zur Stabilisierung der 5V dahinterhängen. Das alles im Selbstbau zusammen mit dem eBus-Adapter in einem größeren Feuchtraumgehäuse.

erstmal Danke für die großartige Arbeit. Mein Ebus-Adapter ist angekommen und ich habe ich per Lan in Betrieb genommen.
Nun sind auch Probleme und Fragen aufgetreten:

Für den Anfang solltest du das komplette Log aufzeichnen, damit du erst einmal siehst, was denn alles über den eBus so abgeht. also welche Telegramme jetzt schon über den Bus gehen ( die Geräte unterhalten sich wahrscheinlich untereinander, diese Telegramme kannst du mitscheiden und auswerten )

Wieso werden einige Geräte automatisch angelegt, aber nicht alle? Liegt es daran, dass die Geräte, die untereinander über den Bus kommunizieren vom ebusd die Werte bekommen und dadurch die Geräte angelegt werden und das VRC720 sendet einfach nichts auf den Bus? Verstehe ich es richtig, dass ich nun alle notwendigen Daten per Timer abfragen muss?

Sieht erst mal komliziert aus, ist aber eigentlich recht logisch. Das war für mich der Grund, warum ich erst was anderes probiert hatte. Leider war die andere Möglichkeit nicht sehr zuverlässig, darum hab ich dann doch gewechselt und bin mittlerweile recht zufrieden mit eBusD.

Es werden die Geräte angelegt, für die es eine Konfigurationsdatei gibt. Leider passen auch die Konfigurationsfiles nicht immer genau zu dem Gerät. ich mußte mir meine auch zusammensammeln. Die nötigen Infos hab ich aus den Logs entnommen
