OT : Max! v1.4.5 software available

Hi all,

I just came accross the newly updated software version Max! v1.4.5 (dated Jan, 13 2016).

I found it helped me as I could not get the previous Max! software running anymore Win7 SP 1, 64 bit but this is now working properly with Firefox (with IE, I wasn't able to save my weekly program).

but - for what is that "max"-Software good for? Can i use it to update the firmware of my max-devices?

The MAX software will update the firmware on the Cube - mine was supplied with old FW and would only connect on Port 80 initially
As far as I am aware there is no way to update firmware on other MAX devices

The MAX software may be useful for initial setup of your devices - but note that the Cube can only talk to a single device at any one time, so if connected to MAX software you cannot also connect to fhem, and vice versa (see ondemand option in commandref).
(I had many problems using the MAX software on one PC but worked fine on another)
