Hi,

I finally decided to go for a central measurement of my electricity; as ELV's
EM1000/EMWZ doesn't work for me (no clean glass on power company's meter, IR-
LED can't differenciate between "silver" and "red"), I'll have an Electrician
install a seperate counter in my fuse box, covering all three phases.
I intend to get a Article 125411-62 from Conrad.de (VOLTCRAFT ENERGIEK.-MESSG
3X230V/80A) -- unless I find something cheaper -- which features an S0 interface
(DIN 43864) with 1000 Imp/kWh = 1 Wh/Imp.

Now I'll need something to connect that S0 interface to, I surfed the net to-
day but only came up with rather expensive solutions :( There exists a rather
cheap 1-Wire module featuring a 2-Port S0 impulse counter[1], but that one's
labelled "out of stock, to be produced on request"; I don't intend to wait
for an unknown time span, I'll need something "on stock".

So, besides cool-but-expensive 4-Port-S0-Eth-Datalogger of busware ;), do
you know of anything else that can be "just bought" and plugged into a Linux
device (running Linux/ARM => no x86-binary drivers, please ;)) to interface
with this S0 thingy? (Cat 5 from the meter box to the Linux box is available.)

Interfacing S0 to my Linux box should not be more expensive than, say, 50-60
EUR, as the power meter is already at 130,-- and I want to keep total hard-
ware costs below 200,--.

Thanks,
         kai

Nifty, Danke!
